National Defense

Able Company of the 1st Women’s Army Corps (WAC) Separation Battalion, a World War II reenactment group, will discuss a women’s place in war. The women of Able Company bring to life the stories of women of some of the 150,000 who served. Able Company will be in representative historically accurate uniforms.

Jane Amelon, DAR Museum Docent and the Regent of Princess Anne County Chapter, will present Masterpiece Quilts from the DAR Museum. An overview of the masterpiece quilts in the museum’s collection and the women who made them.

Exploring Virginia

Trip to the Center for Coastal Resources Management (CCRM) Teaching Marsh at the Virginia Institute of Marine Science (VIMS) in Gloucester, Virginia. Jackie Spencer, a certified Virginia Master Naturalist, will speak on Clean Water and Water Management on the Peninsula.
