Janine Yorimoto Boldt, Ph. D. Candidate, American Studies Program, College of William and Mary will speak on the decorative arts in colonial Virginia. She will focus on the “neat and plain” style favored by Virginia planters from the 1750s to 1770s in both furniture and architecture.

American History

Gina Lane, a Certified Tea Sommelier, Certified Tea Health Expert, and Certified Tea Professional will speak on the history of tea and its influence on colonial America. She will also address tea etiquette and types of teas common during the period leading to the American Revolution.
